HexaHive is an annual hackathon organised by Uniphyd. a community of student developers at Parul University. We have a single goal as a community, to do great things for our careers and to do these things together or unified. A lot of people think Hackathons are hard and are only for experienced programmers, we want to change that. We want to get people excited about innovating and draw a diverse group of new hackers.

We have two main themes this year.

Student Hacks

What better problems to solve than your own? Students come from all over India and the world. As if being a student isn't hard enough some have to change cities or countries and have problems with food, accommodation, resources and even finding friends. Put together a hack to solve some of the biggest problems students face. Let's make learning fun again.

University Hacks

A lot of effort from universities and their staff goes into making students ready for their future as professionals. Times are changing and universities need to catch up! Put together a hack and solve some of the problems universities face or give a fresh approach to something outdated - this can be in management, entertainment, academics, research and even teaching.

Can't think of anything? Don't worry, we have sample problem statements that will be available to you on the day of the Hackathon or you could check out our Sponsor Hacks.

We can’t wait to see what you build!

🍯 What is a Hackathon?

A hackathon is an invention marathon. Students come together to build cool software & hardware hacks over 24-48 hours. It’s very beginner friendly .

🍯 How much does it cost?

Nothing. Attending HexaHive is free.

🍯 Do I need to be a student to attend?

Yes. Only students who are currently enrolled at a college/university are eligible to attend.

🍯 Is there a code of conduct?

Yes there is. We enforce it very strongly. You can find it here.

🍯 Can I sleep in the venue?

Yes, you can.

🍯 What should I bring with me?

Laptop and charger, sleeping bag and cool friends. We will provide working spaces, regular meals, drinks and snacks. Feel free to bring extra hardware and gadgets.

🍯 Can I bring my project to the hackathon?

We apologize, but all hackathon's projects should be developed at the event from scratch. We want honest conditions for all hackers. That's why all code should be done during the hackathon.

🍯 What’s the maximum size of a team?

The team size is required to be no more than 4 people. We also advise to form a team of at least 3 people. However, you can also register without having a team.

🍯 Help, I don’t have a team!

That’s no problem at all, we will help you find a team.

🍯 Are there prizes?

Yes, we have loads of cool prizes for everyone.

Still have a question? Feel free to reach out to us at
